If you have never been to Zion you have to drive past a bunch of sedimentary mountains like this to get down into the valley. It's very beautiful on it's own and completely changes as you get into the lower altitude of the park.
Jenny and I took on another ambitious road trip here. We were out for 14 days drove 8000km's (4971 miles) yet still were able to shoot over 30gb of images. We tasted more then savored Yosemite, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Zion, Canyonlands, Arches, and Yellowstone National Parks. I can't wait to get another opportunity for exploration in these amazing places.
The last day of our trip I drove from Yellowstone to Victoria (ferry included) which comes out to 1570km's, stressful driving at best but it is doable. With this in mind I plan on going on some more road trips into Utah as its only a couple days away. And if the images from those trips are not exactly sell-able in the traditional sense they do allow a more creative approach with landscape photography. If there are any graphic designers reading this and wanting to purchase the full resolution version of this image I am selling this and many more at my new stock site:
